Dan Hicks

Dan Hicks is the President, Owner, and Founder of Home Design and Supply. Founded in 2012 from his basement, Dan saw a need in the Fargo-Moorhead area for a better and more modern system of retailing lumber and building material products. Through hard work and door to door networking, he developed the vendor portfolio and capital resources to build the company from just that, an idea.

Dan originally moved to Fargo from his family farm in Milbank, South Dakota to attend North Dakota State University and study Mechanical Engineering. During his time at State, he started two other companies, Homestead Handyman Service and GreenCell Recycling, to pay his way through school. At the same time, he earned his real estate license and began working for a local brokerage and building their Commercial Real Estate and Property Management division.

Dan is currently a respected commercial real estate professional in the FM area. Through his success in the real estate and development world, Dan has been able to secure and create leads and build relationships to continue to move HDS into the future.
